Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce

This salted caramel is the easiest caramel recipe and only requires 4 simple ingredients. 

This refreshingly easy-to-make dessert has a melt-in-your-mouth texture that leaves you craving more with each bite.

Ingredients you will need...

Sugar

Kosher Salt

Unsalted Butter

Cream

Warm up the heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan. Just to barely a simmer.

Heat sugar and ¼ cup cold water (60 mL).

The caramel will bubble and rise at this moment, be very careful not to get any of it on yourself. Stir until smooth.

Once the sugar has reached 350°F and is a dark amber color, immediately stir in the cream.

Stir until smooth. Cool for a couple of minutes and then pour into your heatproof glass jar. Let sit until cool.

Once smooth, remove from heat and add the butter and the salt.

Cover tightly in an airtight container and store for up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
