Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce

This recipe will teach you how to make salted caramel sauce with just 4 ingredients.

INGREDIENTS FOR  Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce

– Sugar – Cream – Unsalted Butter – Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat sugar and ¼ cup cold water (60 mL) in a heavy bottomed, medium sized sauce pan on medium high heat. Do not stir.

Warm up the heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan. Just to barely a simmer.

Once the sugar has reached 350°F and is a dark amber color, immediately stir in the cream. The caramel will bubble and rise at this moment, be very careful.

Once smooth, remove from heat and add the butter and the salt. Stir until smooth. Cool for a couple of minutes and then pour into your heatproof glass jar.
