CHERRY ALMOND SCONES WITH ALMOND MILK

These deliciously tender Cherry Almond Scones with Almond Milk are dairy free and perfect for a tasty breakfast treat or afternoon snack.

Tender and light, they're loaded with tart cherries and topped with a sweet almond milk glaze.

INGREDIENTS FOR CHERRY ALMOND SCONES

– Flour – Sugar – Baking powder – Salt – Canola oil – Silk almond milk – Eggs – Almond extract

Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir in the canola oil being careful not to overwork the dough.

Instructions:

Combine the remaining wet ingredients in a small bowl then mix into the flour mixture. Fold in almond and cherries. Knead the dough on a floured surface.

Divide the dough in half and form two squares. Cut each square on an angle to make four triangles.

Bake 12-15 minutes then cool slightly before drizzling with glaze.

You can also top the scones with glaze made from powdered sugar and almond milk. If you don't want to do that it's fine.
