S'MORES CAKE

After some page-flipping on the Bouchon Bakery Cookbook, the devil's food cake caught my eye, I knew it could be a great base for a Smores Cake.

This incredible S'mores Cake is inspired by the Bouchon Bakery Cookbook.

For this recipe we used the Bouchon Devils Food Cake recipe and went with a graham cracker streusel from the book.

We then topped that with a chocolate cream custard and made a meringue for the final topping.

SMORES CAKE INGREDIENTS

– All-purpose Flour – Dutch process  cocoa – Baking powder – Baking soda

– Graham cracker crumbs – Vanilla extract – Light brown sugar

This cake tasted as good as it looks. It's a very simple recipe but with quite a few steps.

HOW TO MAKE S'MORES CAKE

This is one of those desserts that you need to plan for just due to setup time in the freezer.

So think about it on Thursday. Buy the ingredients, bake the cake, make the streusel and custard on a Friday.

Let it sit in the freezer and by Saturday date night, you have a five-star dessert to present to your loved one!
