Easy Chocolate Crepes

Crepes are so simple; I don't know why I never make them. So I created this recipe for easy chocolate crepes to create delicious, light, and decadent chocolate crepes.

Great recipe for breakfast or a sweet dessert!

INGREDIENTS

All Purpose Flour, Cocoa Powder, Milk, Eggs, Butter  and Salt

CREPE FILLING IDEAS

You can fill the crepes with basically anything you would want. One of my favorite ways to have crepes is to fill them with fresh fruit. You could even go with something as simple as peanut butter and jelly or jam and powdered sugar if you didn't want to cook anything else other than the crepe.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix all ingredients, whisk until smooth. Let the crepe batter chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and brush with melted butter.

HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE CREPES

Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter about the size of a small ladleful of batter into the center of the pan and tilt the pan in all directions to cover the bottom evenly. Cook for about 1 minute or until browned on the bottom.

How thick should a crepe be?

The batter should be the thickness of heavy whipping cream, almost liquid. The base of your nonstick skillet should be covered in batter, but not thin enough to see through it.
